This blend is made of young vines from six Grands Crus of the Vosne-Romanée commune that are owned by the Domaine de la Romanée-Conti. The property managers» high standards are such that they have chosen to downgrade this wine in order to offer an excellent introduction to their consumers. «A classic Vosne nose that is at once very spicy and very Pinot Noir offers up ripe yet very fresh red and black berry liqueur aromas. There is fine detail and excellent precision to the seductively textured medium-bodied flavors that possess outstanding depth and seriously good length as well. This may well be the best vintage for this wine ever made, at least since modern day production of it was recommenced in 1999.... approachable young but [will] age well too.»
