For the past 11 years, the SAQ has been involved with Food Banks of Quebec (FBQ), helping them fulfill the 1.9 million food requests received each month. Given the current context, where the need for food is even greater, every last donation counts.

For Boucar Diouf, patron and friend of FBQ, helping food banks is a way of ensuring that everyone gets a fair chance in life, and it’s also a step towards social peace. Catherine Dagenais, President and CEO of SAQ, reiterates how important it is for the SAQ to support Food Banks of Quebec all year long because “enjoying a glass of wine with your meal is great, but making sure you have enough food on your plate is essential.”

In all, Food Banks of Quebec counts 19 food banks, 13 associated members, 1,200 local community organizations, and 15,000 volunteers across the province. The SAQ directly helps Quebec food banks throughout the entire FBQ network. Collectively, we help put an end to hunger.
