- 250 ml (1 cup ) boiling water
- 60 ml (2 oz.) gin
- 10 ml (2 tsp.) honey
- 1 ml (1/4 tsp.) whole cloves, or a pinch of nutmeg
- 1 lemon, freshly squeezed
- 1 slice of fresh lemon

Pour the dry gin, lemon juice and honey into a cup or hot "toddy" glass.
Add the cloves or pinch of nutmeg.
Fill the cup with boiling water.
Let infuse for several minutes.
Savour.
