« There is only one barrel of the 2016 Ultreia Cova de la Raposa, a riper side of Valtuille, always full of aromatic herbs, very attractive in the nose, and a little wider in the palate than the other single-vineyard wines. They tend to harvest early to avoid any notes of over-ripeness in the wine. The palate revealed abundant tannins that provided a somehow powdery texture and a dry finish. With time in the glass it developed a faintly animal note, with hints of tempera paint, licorice and leather that might partly explain the dryness in the palate. » www.robertparker.com
