Southwest of the Chianti Classico appellation, Luca Sanjust exploits a 26-hectare vineyard from which some of Tuscany's most sought-after wines originate. His Torrione is made mainly with Sangiovese, completed by Merlot and Cabert Sauvignon. The 15-month aging is divided between different-sized casks of various ages, giving a complex and very elegant wine, with notes of tobacco, cocoa, sandalwood, cherry, currant and graphite.
