A project led by the brilliant oenologist of the Dolomites, Elisabetta Foradori and two colleagues, Ampeleia is hard at work near Maremma in Tuscany. For their maceration wine, the idea was to rediscover this tradition of complantation vineyards (aka mixed planting), where different varieties growing together ultimately form a single wine. This is a beautiful fruity, floral and spicy expression that you’ll want to pair with ginger shrimp.
