Jack Daniel's Single Barrel
Detailed info
Established in 1866, Jack Daniel Distillery is still active in the small, 360-inhabitant town of Lynchburg, Tennessee. Located in a « dry county » where the sale of alcohol is prohibited, it exports its famous charcoal filtered whiskey made from the local spring water all over the world.
The distillery's flagship product, Single Barrel, is produced by selecting the best barrels (representing 1% of the distillery's production) and setting them aside to mature in the highest reaches of the barrelhouses, where dramatic temperature changes cause the the colour and taste to deepen, producing a unique whiskey with notes of caramel, charred wood, sweet spices and vanilla.
