    Detailed info

    Established in 1779, Bowmore was the first distillery to operate on Islay. Proximity to the sea allows the whiskies to develop typical aromas during aging, when the casks breathe in the saline air. The Bowmore 12 Year-Old displays the distillery's signature with a certain restraint, without lacking in character. It offers fragrances of flowers, honey and dried herbs. A touch of candied lemon zest is also perceptible, as well as a slightly smoky finish.
