The generously proportioned, plump and highly seductive middleweight flavors possess an abundance of sappy dry extract while the strikingly long finish is also shaped by dense but fine-grained tannins on the superbly long, balanced and lightly stony finish. This is also stunningly good and a wine that should be more approachable young compared to the Chambertin."

      "An ever spicier and equally cool combination freely displays of red and blue pinot fruit, tangerine peel, anise, smoked duck and a whisper of exotic tea. The richer bigger-bodied flavors possess excellent mid-palate density while exuding evident minerality on the powerful, mouth coating and hugely long finish. While qualitatively similar to the Latricières, this offers a markedly different expression. Excellent and this too is recommended."

      "A reserved, cool and inexpressive nose requires aggressive swirling to eventually liberate its high-toned aromas of essence of red cherry, just turned earth and plenty of sauvage nuances. There is absolutely superb intensity to the super-sleek texture of the broad-shouldered flavors thanks to the fine-grained tannins that also shape the moderately austere and equally long finish. This is genuinely stunning though very much built-to-age."
