"Tasting a new vintage of Pingus for the first time is a special moment, and the 2022 Pingus shows the gentler profile of the vintage—it's perfumed, fruit-driven and peachy, with perfume and elegance. Peter Sisseck told me that it's his favorite vintage, because it's more the idea he has for this wine."

"(...) pure and refined on the nose that delivers a highly complex bouquet with very fine hazelnut aromas (from the halbstück). As sensational as the bouquet is, the palate is pure, enormously salivating and provided with very fine tannins that intertwine with the crystalline, finely grained acidity. This is an elegant, refined and complex Riesling, and everything that will be delivered in the future is already represented on the finish and aftertaste. The best vintage since 2019? Possibly."

"Lovely density and brightness to this wine with white lilacs, pear blossoms and citrus fruit. Medium- to full-bodied, it has creamy texture and hints of salt and lemon rind. Sliced-pear undertones. There’s a pretty richness and complexity at the same time plus plenty of energy for the harvest."

"This great Cote Rotie has huge depth and incredible balance. The deep wild blackberry fruit is augmented by a wide array of subtle licorice, smoke and raw meat aromas. The delicate impression of sweetness (it is of course bone dry) is wrapped around the core of superfine tannins in a manner that's seductive and fascinating. Extremely long finish with subtle spicy and savory nuances."

"The Bachelet brothers produced two barrels of the brilliant 2021 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Blanchot-Dessus, a deep, serious wine redolent of mandarin oil, crisp stone fruit and pear mingled with beeswax, white flowers and toasted nuts. Full-bodied, satiny and seamless, it's concentrated and structured, concluding with a long, resonant finish."
