"A noble and fine reduction sets the tone for this pure white. The palate is tense, without ever lacking in pulp. The mineral intensity of the soil is never far away, relayed by bitters that evoke lemon zest."

"Takes your breath away. Showing extraordinary concentration, vivid energy and precision, this is sunny and warm, with a generous core of peach and apple flanked by mineral, smoke, subtle toast and finely crushed salt. Reveals lemon oil and green herbs on the powerful, seemingly endless finish. Incredibly alluring now, this has a long life ahead in the cellar -- for those who can resist. Marsanne and Roussanne. Drink now through 2035."

"Extremely nuanced and complex nose that shows high-grade cigar box and cigars, fresh blackberries, orange peel, together with red-chili chocolate, walnut, iron and hints of cocoa powder. This is intense, elegant and savory with real finesse, savoriness and complexity. Juicy, dusty and immaculate tannins and an extremely long, savory finish that lasts over a minute. Mainly a blend of 2009 and 2011 and 2012. Surprisingly, this is already approachable now, but better after 2024."

"So much earth and spice with walnut and wet earth. Like fog laying over the valley in the morning. Black fruit. Medium-to full-bodied with super-fine tannins that are long and persistent, with graceful progression and length on the palate. So long, with real definition."

"The 2010 Latour is deep garnet in color, and—WOW—it erupts from the glass with powerful crème de cassis, Black Forest cake and blackberry pie scents plus intense sparks of dried roses, cigar boxes, fragrant earth and smoked meats with aniseed and crushed rocks wafts. Full-bodied, concentrated and oh-so-decadent in the mouth, it has a firm, grainy texture and lovely freshness carrying the rich, opulent fruit to an epically long finish. It is incredibly tempting to drink now, but I suspect this hedonic experience isn't a scratch on the mind-blowing, otherworldly secrets this time capsule will have to reveal given another 7-10 years in bottle and continuing over the following fifty years++. 2024-2080."
