"2018 has been one of the best vintages in recent times in Mendoza, and the wine shows it. It's a cooler vintage, and the wine has improved in freshness and elegance without losing any clout. It's 14.5% alcohol and has a pH of 3.73. This is young, juicy, elegant and balanced and still has some herbal and toasted notes; it's medium to full-bodied, with the creamy and luxurious texture of the modern Bordeaux, ultra fine tannins and a long, dry and precise finish. It's still undeveloped and seems to have all the components and the balance between them for a long and positive development in bottle. With wines like this, I sometimes wish I had a time machine so I could see them in 20 years from now... I think this is the finest Cheval des Andes I've ever tasted." www.robertparker.com

"The 2020 Ultreia Valtuille is truly amazing and more so next to the unusual 2019. This is floral, expressive, fresh and balanced, with incredible elegance. There's a lot of precision here, they picked on exactly the right date, removed the white grapes, and the wine matured in barrique for five months and then in 1,000-liter oak foudre. The fine tannins show the finesse of the sandy soils. It's even a notch above the already other worldly 2018. Possibly the finest Ultreia Valtuille ever, with a moderate 12.7% alcohol. Bravo!"

The palate is medium-bodied with pliant tannins. It's fresh and focused, gently building to a tensile, lightly spiced and quite persistent finish. Real class." Neal Martin, www.vinous.com

"The 2020 Tignanello is so primary, so intensely fruit-driven, that it almost tastes like a barrel sample. A burst of red Sangiovese fruit opens first, followed by hints of blood orange, cinnamon, spice, dried flowers and mocha later. Time in the glass brings out striking dimension. In 2020, Tignanello is wonderfully sleek and racy, with fine tannins that lie below a core of bright, sculpted fruit. The balance here is just sublime. I can’t wait to revisit the 2020 with age. "We are gradually increasing the Cabernet Franc in Tignanello to balance the greater richness that today’s warmer seasons are giving to our Sangioveses", Antinori Renzo Cotarella told me." www.vinous.com
