The SAQ adjusts Express store opening hours

New measures to limit the spread of COVID-19

Montreal, January 7, 2020 – Reacting to the new measures announced by the Quebec government to limit the spread of COVID-19, the SAQ will shorten the opening hours of its Express stores to comply with the planned curfew.

Beginning Saturday, January 9, all Express stores will close their doors at 7:30 p.m. instead of 8 p.m. This will ensure that all SAQ stores are in compliance with the new measures, as the opening hours adopted for non-Express stores since the start of the pandemic already meet the curfew requirements.

Since the start of the pandemic in March 2020, the SAQ has made a priority of protecting its employees and customers and taken all necessary preventive measures in its store network. The SAQ is counting on the cooperation of everyone to ensure the measures are complied with.
