Located at the border of Châteauneuf-du-Pape village, Château Fortia is one of the oldest properties of the region. Established well before the French Revolution, today is spans 31.5 hectares of vine. Although the appellation authorises the use of 13 varietals, the property's soils are only planted with Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre for red wine production. Following 12 to 18 months of aging in tuns, depending on vintages, this cuvee calls to mind cooked fruit, plum, tobacco, pot-pourri and chocolate aromas.
