Valley of the Moon Cuvée de la Luna 2014
Detailed info
Valley of the Moon is the oldest estate in Glen Ellen, Sonoma Valley. The first vine stocks were planted back in 1863 and now cover 24 hectares. Cuvée de la Luna is a blend of Zinfandel (44 %), Syrah (21 %), Cabernet (10 %) et Sangiovese (1 %). Aged 24 months in French, American and Hungarian casks, it reveals scents of tobacco, charred wood and ripe red fruits. The mouth is fatty, pleasingly fresh, with a tight tannic structure.
