Domaine des Baumard Savennières 2019
Chenin lovers will be delighted by this little gem from the Baumard family, a truthful expression of this varietal, featuring aromas of white flowers, linden and almond notes in a round, persistent mouth feel. Established southwest of beautiful Angers since the ‘60s, over 40-hectares on both shores of the Loire, the vineyard is now under the direction of Florent, who carries out his father's vision. Fun fact: he was one of the first in the region to opt for screw caps for all his wines to prevent dreaded cork problems.
