Krutzler Blaufränkisch 2021

A very good wine. This small cuvée from the Krutzler multigenerational family estate, sealed under a screw cap, is a perfect introduction for those who want to learn about the beautiful region of red wines in Austria, Burgenland, and the famous Blaufrankisch grape variety, also called Lemberger in Germany and Kekfrankos in Hungary. On the nose, we perceive blackberry, blackcurrant, tart cherry, sweet spices, dried oregano and a somewhat smoky side. The mouth is tonic and just structured enough. It is an elegant, aromatic, fresh wine, which faithfully reflects its origin and allows several beautiful pairings at the table: Pasta with dried tomato pesto, Neapolitan pizza, roast rabbit, chicken with olives. Serve it chilled!
