    Perseverance and rigor at both the cellar and the vineyard allowed Guido Serio and his wife to establish San Fabiano Calcinaia as a reference of the Chianti hillsides. Like many other estates, the estate enlisted the list of star oenologist Carlo Ferrini in order to produce the best possible wines. Combining local Sangiovese to Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, this cuvee offers plenty of substance in a mouth marked by cassis, black olive and licorice notes.
