A variety in full revival, Mencía shines, especially in the Bierzo appellation located in the north-west of Spain, where it pleases thanks to a fruity, floral, spicy profile and graced with a certain elegance. Blending black fruits such as blackberry and blackcurrant with accents of violet and pepper, the palate offers a nice hold and a marked acidity.
