    Charles Smith, former manager of rock bands and self-taught winemaker, started K Vintners in 2001 in Walla Walla, at the foot of the Blue Mountains. From the young (2006) Wahluke Slope appellation, this powerful Syrah showcases exuberant aromas of plum, cocoa, licorice and a spicy touch, along with velvety tannins.
