It could also be called "Franconian blue", but the name of this grape, native to Central Europe, appears as Blaufrankisch on the labels. Popular in Austria, it shares family ties with the country’s other common varieties, namely St-Laurent and Zweigelt. It is the source of wines filled with freshness, often beautifully fruity as well. This cuvée has a very open personality with a delicious the added bonus of a spicy touch delivered in its finest versions. Serve it chilled with a mustard pork tenderloin.
