Founded in 1871, the Moortgat family brewery was inspired by English beers to create Duvel (Flemish for devil) which was officially renamed in 1923. Fermented with yeast originating from Scotland and brewed with hops from Austria and the Czech Republic, Duvel's clean character comes from the unique cold aging process. Duvel has a hoppy flavour and generous carbonation.
