“Although this St.-Joseph only has 12.5% alcohol it is missing absolutely nothing. In fact it’s brimming with black raspberry and blood orange fruit, plus nuances of black and green pepper. Sleek and super-elegant palate with stunning velvety tannins and a very long floral finish, this is a 2021 masterpiece! From organically grown grapes. Drink or hold.”

"The 2020 Ultreia Valtuille is truly amazing and more so next to the unusual 2019. This is floral, expressive, fresh and balanced, with incredible elegance. There's a lot of precision here, they picked on exactly the right date, removed the white grapes, and the wine matured in barrique for five months and then in 1,000-liter oak foudre. The fine tannins show the finesse of the sandy soils. It's even a notch above the already other worldly 2018. Possibly the finest Ultreia Valtuille ever, with a moderate 12.7% alcohol. Bravo!"

"Takes your breath away. Showing extraordinary concentration, vivid energy and precision, this is sunny and warm, with a generous core of peach and apple flanked by mineral, smoke, subtle toast and finely crushed salt. Reveals lemon oil and green herbs on the powerful, seemingly endless finish. Incredibly alluring now, this has a long life ahead in the cellar -- for those who can resist. Marsanne and Roussanne. Drink now through 2035."
