A specialty of Emilia-Romagna in northern Italy, “Lambrusco” also refers to the eponymous family of grape varieties that find their home there. Obtained by a second fermentation in a closed vat before being bottled, this type of sparkling wine, usually red and with various degrees of residual sugar, arrives here in a very dry rosé. Light in alcohol, it’s simply amazing as an aperitif with antipasti!
