As announced in January, the SAQ will adjust the prices of its products on March 1st, 2025.
These changes are mainly explained by the following elements:
- For products other than those from Quebec producers, for which the SAQ is responsible for assuming the legal and financial obligations towards the AQRCB, the financial contribution of producers (CFP) for aluminum and plastic containers for formats ranging from 100 ml to 2 liters comes into effect.
- As part of the modernization of selective collection, in effect since January 1, 2025, and the expansion of the deposit for aluminum and plastic containers for formats ranging from 100 ml to 2 liters, effective from March 1, 2025, Quebec producers have the possibility to adjust the purchase price to meet their legal and financial responsibilities towards Éco Entreprises Québec (ÉEQ) and the AQRCB.
- Increase in the exchange rate for products traded in US dollars (USD).
- For regular products and specialties in continuous supply, requests for changes in purchase prices from suppliers in accordance with the schedule published on SAQ-B2B.
