Tutiac is a group of 500 winegrowers who share 5,400 hectares of vines in an exceptional location along both banks of the Gironde. If wines produced under 16 AOC benefit from the legendary Bordeaux climate, it is the human variable that stands out at this co-op where collaboration and fraternity bring production to high quality standards.

For several years, it is the environmental responsibility project that has driven and united its members. Currently, 650 hectares of the vineyard are cultivated organically while the entirety operates under a High Environmental Value certification.

The High Environmental Value (Haute Valeur Environnementale in French) is a certification based on four themes which guarantees the preservation of ecosystems and reduces the impact on the environment.

  • Preservation of biodiversity
  • Phytosanitary strategy
  • Fertilization management
  • Irrigation management

What about in the bottle?

Sustainable production is obviously a practice that is beneficial to us all, but when the fruit of these efforts results in a purer and more beautiful expression of terroir and grape variety, that means nature is on board, too.

A red that has it all

This red with under the Fruity and generous profile made from 100% Merlot offers aromas of red fruits such as blackcurrant and blackberry, as well as notes of spices. The palate is supple and presents voluptuous tannins, all under the $15 mark. A very good quality/price ratio that can also be left to age for a few years; now that’s hard to beat. Very versatile at the table, it is sure to please with a lasagna or fennel-tarragon roast chicken.

Spring white

Made entirely of Sauvignon Blanc, this wine offers a lovely bouquet of fruits and citrus. On the palate, a lively and fresh attack gives the wine a pleasant backbone. Certified organic and offered in a lightweight glass bottle, it calls for spring with a shrimp, pesto and goat cheese pizza. No wonder it gets rave reviews from customers!
