Should we be putting ice in our whisky? Or is this practically treason? Here’s some advice for getting the best flavour experience from your tipple.

How can you chill whisky without diluting it?
You can use whisky stones that have been first kept in the freezer, then added to the glass. They will effectively chill the spirit with no risk of diluting it. You could also first fill your glass with very cold water, then empty it before serving the whisky.
But if you would like to enjoy a drink that will remain chilled for a longer period of time, there’s nothing embarrassing about having it over ice! Choose a larger sized ice cube that will melt more slowly—this will help you to better appreciate all the subtle qualities of your chosen whisky.
Cheers!
