And because no one does winter like Quebec, we’re taking this opportunity to showcase delectable local products and tell you all about the latest homegrown cream products. Let’s get the (snow)ball rolling!

Pull on a cozy sweater, find a seat by the fireplace, and take your sweet time to prepare and savour one of these three cocktails. We promise they’re to die for!

The Irishman, punch version

Are you a fan of boozy coffee and weekends with friends at the cottage? Here’s the perfect après-ski cocktail for your next chalet getaway!

Suggested local products: Saint-Crème, which combines hints of coffee, caramel and chocolate with a touch of vanilla to mimic the flavour of maple fudge! Vegans, rejoice—Distillerie Mariana also has a plant-based version. The only other thing you’ll need is a quality Quebec vodka. The options are practically endless!

Apéri-tiki-colada

If you love the fun of winter, yet catch yourself dreaming of a tropical vacation, we’ve got just the thing for you. This velvety smooth cocktail and its exotic aromas combine the best of both worlds. It’s almost as good as a trip down south!

Suggested local products: Miele amaretto cream, a sweet nectar made with honey from the beehives at Miels d’Anicet in the Laurentians. You have many different options to choose from to make this Aperol-style gentian-based cocktail, like the delicious Amermelade or a low-alcohol version from Distillerie Noroi.

Refreshing future classics

Whether on ice, in a cocktail or sipped in front of a fireplace, there’s no wrong way to enjoy these divine new liquors, which are here just in time to warm our hearts this winter.

If pistachio ice cream is your go-to, then Station 22’s latest product, Cremaglace Pistache, will be right up your alley. It’s great either on its own or mixed with some milk and sprinkled with chopped pistachios!

BluePearl Distillerie—who previously delighted us with its root beer rum—is back with Acolytes Crème au Rhum. Its sublime notes of vanilla, coconut, blood orange and nutmeg come together in a sweet, creamy liquor.

The Crème de Menthe Isabelle is a spin on Subversifs’s original crème de menthe. This one features the same rich, delicious taste, with an extra luscious texture. Have it as a digestif or pour it over some ice cream!

Finally, those of you with a more adventurous palate should try Leblanc Gin Cream, the very first gin cream to be sold (and produced) in Quebec. The herbaceous flavour of the gin blends together with hints of lime and vanilla, which is both warm and refreshing. Drink it straight or add a bit to your coffee!
