Cocktails remains a faithful part of the St. Patrick’s Day.
Here’s a powerful trio that will truly showcase the flavours and aromas of Irish products.
You prefer beer?
Green beer is also a favourite on St. Patrick’s Day. You don’t even need any of that famous ‘luck of the Irish’ to make some at home to surprise your guests—just follow our easy recipes. First, pick a blonde beer, or slightly amber-coloured. In a large glass, put a few drops of green food colouring, then pour in your beer. Mix gently if needed, using a spoon. You can also add Spirulina, a blue-green algae that’s high in protein—not only will your beer be festively green, it will also be good for your health! A half-teaspoon of Spirulina powder is all you need. Liquid chlorophyll can also provide a little green beer magic; it’s often sold in concentrates though, so a few drops is all you’ll need.
There are so many other options available to pay homage to the patron saint of Ireland. Here are our suggestions of whiskeys and cream beverages typical of the Emerald Isle. Slainte*! as the Irish say and happy St. Patrick’s Day!
The whiskeys
Renowned for their delicate and velvety style, Irish whiskeys often display herbaceous, floral and fruity notes, highlighted by scents of cereals, vanilla and caramel.
The cream beverages
Unctuous and brimming with enchanting aromas, Irish cream beverages are true desserts in liquid form that are sure to please those with a sweet tooth.
*Sláinte! = ‘’health’’ in Irish Gaelic, commonly used as ”Cheers!’’
