For a first date

It’s a match! And the first meet-up is set—a stroll over the mountain followed by a drink somewhere, maybe. And what if instead you slipped two cans of Amour Liquide, a ready-made Negroni, in your bag? It would be a fun little reward after such a long walk, but since the drink has a very evocative name, only take them out if you’re really feeling it. What could be more charming than a portable cocktail that’s naturally chilled?

For the happy couple

Spice up your life and add a new twist to your favourite cocktail by swapping in chili vodka from Distillerie Cirka for your traditional Caesar. The taste of Peruvian pepper paired with an enticing smoky aroma will add a little piquant to your evening. You can also replace mezcal or even tequila with this spicy vodka in many delectable drinks.

For Galentine’s Day

And what if you preferred to embrace a few clichés but with your girlfriends? We’re talking rose petals strewn on the coffee table, bubbly rosé in an ice bucket, and everyone dressed in their comfiest sweats! It’s time to rewatch Bridget Jones or some other comforting movie to make you feel all warm and fuzzy. A sparkling rosé from Patrick Piuze, a Quebecer who now creates fine wine in France, is the perfect choice for such an evening. Made with Pinot Noir grapes from Burgundy but transformed in Champagne using traditional methods, this wine with notes of wild strawberries is exquisite—as tasty as champagne for a fraction of the price!

For a solo celebration

P’tit Landra is the ideal wine to sip while listening to Lavande by Pomme, in which she gorgeously describes the Ventoux region, a unique wine terroir. Who can resist the blend of Grenache, Syrah and Cinsault found in this wine with silky tannins and a fruity, floral and spicy profile? And why not treat yourself to a flavourful beef tartare, which pairs beautifully with a glass of Le P’tit Landra. It’s a combination that’s sure to enchant and add a festive note to your solo evening.

And because it’s a light natural wine, we suggest either removing the air from the bottle using a vacuum pump or pouring what you don’t finish into a smaller bottle to limit the contact with oxygen and putting it in the fridge.

In 2007, Cécile and Frédéric Renoux acquired the Château Landra estate with a desire to bring this magnificent spot back to life, while developing the highest quality products possible. Stop by and say hi when they do the rounds of wine salons in Quebec—this is one lovely couple! And they’ll renew your faith in love.

Happy Valentine’s Day, however you choose to celebrate!
