You certainly know the wines of the famous Spanish family, but do you know to what extent it shines beyond its borders? Honestly, it's quite impressive.

The famous Drinks International recently published its annual ranking and Torres was at the top. It was crowned the most admired wine brand in the world, an enviable position that it has earned no less than seven times. It was also named the most innovative winery at the 2024 Golden Vines Awards, known as the “Oscars of Wine,” held in Madrid in October. Last year, Mr. Torres was also selected by the American media TIME in its 2023 list of the 100 business leaders with the most influence in the fight against climate change.

Because beyond the awards and recognitions, it is Torres’ vision and involvement in sustainable development that will be his greatest legacy. The Spanish wine giant currently manages half of its vineyards organically, representing around 650 hectares. And it will keep growing: The family's goal is to go organic on all its land in the next few years. It also practices regenerative viticulture which aims, among other things, to increase biodiversity and absorb carbon dioxide in the soil. This holistic model is a fundamental pillar of the “Torres and Earth” strategy, whose overall and ambitious objective is to reach Net Zero by 2040.

With its five generations, the Torres family says it is both honored and responsible for its precious lands that have been cultivated for hundreds of years.  It is therefore in this spirit that it works hard to honour the family vision: Celebrating life, caring for the earth and passing its legacy.

Long live Torres: 6 wines to salute its success

Torres Celeste Ribera Del Duero Crianza

Made from grapes grown at an altitude of nearly 900 meters, this cuvee reaches for the stars and lives up to its name. Rediscover the opulent expression of the wines of Ribera del Duero through this wine with complex scents and strong yet supple tannins.

Miguel Torres Celeste Verdejo Rueda

The Celeste white cuvée is a modern, fresh and intensely aromatic wine. Composed mainly of Verdejo, with a touch of Sauvignon, it offers lots of herbaceous and fruity aromas. The palate is silky with a beautiful fruity acidity which makes everything very elegant.

Torres Gran Coronas Reserva

Crowned with success, this Aromatic and robust red is composed mainly of Cabernet Sauvignon with some Tempranillo.  It offers intense fruity aromas of cranberries and black cherry jam, and fine smoky and toasted notes. The tasty and structured palate presents ripe tannins, refined by aging in oak.

Torres Secret del Priorat

The producer says of this wine that it “reflects the typicity and diversity of this incredible region, land of small miracles that occur every day, like the flowers of a solitary almond tree in the middle of the vineyard. » Seductive bouquet of flowers and spices, with a silky mouthfeel with complex notes of cocoa, eucalyptus and wood.

Torres Las Pisadas Rioja

This 100% Tempranillo cuvee, made from old vines over 70 years old, comes from the Rioja Alavesa sub-region. Unveiling aromas of raspberries, dried dates and spices, the wine benefited from a 10-month aging in French oak barrels.

Torres Vina Esmeralda Catalunya

This cuvee charms with the aromatic generosity of the Muscat and Gewürztraminer grape varieties, that provide a round mouthfeel. Revealing a slight noticeable residual sugar, it’s the ideal wine to serve as an aperitif, with savoury bites, or even to accompany sushi and several Asian dishes.

Torres & Earth
